One Frickin Day (OFD), an agent of goodwill and brainchild of fashion model Elettra Wiedemann and co-founder James Marshall, is founded on the premise that you shouldn’t feel guilty for just doing a little bit. So instead of asking people to give more, OFD believes we can succeed by getting more people to do a little less.

OFD has teamed up with the Solar Electric Light Fund (SELF) and Partners In Health (PIH) to bring solar power to clinics in remote health clinics in developing countries. Through the installation of solar panels, these facilities – which have no access to electricity – will be able to provide lifesaving care after dark and operate electrical medical equipment. OFD first partnered with SELF to solar-electrify the Village Health Works clinic in Burundi in 2008, which now offers healthcare services to over 60,000 villagers.
