Thanks to your support, SELF’s projects touched even more people in 2022.

From solar cooking to solar water pumping to solar vaccine refrigeration and more, our work spanned a wide range of impact areas—showing the many ways in which solar energy can improve lives. These projects also addressed climate change head on by making clean energy more accessible to those who need it most.

There’s still work to be done. Emissions are at an all-time high. Hunger, disease, and inequality remain widespread. But through the darkness, the sun—and the power it generates—continues to be a beacon of light and hope. These pages are proof.
