SELF has begun its project to provide 24 solar-pump water stations to villages in the Kalalé District of Benin. No matter how much testing has been done beforehand, it is always a little stressful waiting to see if the new well is going to have enough water pressure to meet the demands of a community. The first bore holes drilled in the villages of Kaala and Dadi were a resounding success!
This video documenting the arrival of clean water in Dadi is the first of many we plan to share as the project progresses. Note that the entire village and their elder came to witness the arrival of clean water.
